Anderson Becomes Latest Celebrity to Join the Charity Network, Raising Awareness and Funds for her Namesake Foundation

** THE SHOWBIZ LIVE! – LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14, 2014  — Chideo, the first interactive charity broadcast network, today announced the worldwide premiere of the revealing new documentary short, “A Conversation with Pamela Anderson,” directed by filmmaker Natalie Johns. Part One launches on Chideo next Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. EST, with Part Two beginning at 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Nov. 20.

In this intimate portrait, Anderson talks about the sexual abuse she endured as a child, the difficult decision to reveal the abuse earlier this year and, more importantly, how those events shaped her life and inspired her philanthropic work. To watch the documentary, fans simply register on Chideo’s website or download the Chideo App (available for iOS and Android). At the conclusion of the program, viewers are prompted to make a donation of $10 or more to the Pamela Anderson Foundation (PAF).

“After I spoke publicly for the first time about the abuse, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I received from fans,” she said. “I realized that simply by sharing my story, I could not only empower others, but I could also leverage that support for the greater good. As the only network dedicated solely to charity, Chideo was the logical choice to partner with on this very personal journey.”

The film also marks the official debut of Anderson as a Chideo Ambassador, leveraging the platform year-round to raise awareness and funds for her eponymous foundation. PAF supports organizations and individuals that stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal and environmental rights. By funding the efforts of those who defend the planet and all who live within it, the foundation is an agent of change and an advocate for justice.

“We’re so happy to have Pamela join our growing roster of celebrity ambassadors and leading non-profits,” said Chideo Founder and CEO Todd Wagner. “As the home for all things charity, Chideo is dedicated to offering a variety of ways for fans to show their support for the causes they care about most. Whether it’s tuning in to exclusive content, interacting with their favorite personalities on the platform, donating to win one-of-a-kind experiences or simply telling a friend, Chideo is the place to make a difference.”
